Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 12, 2026
At ScoopLabs, we believe that privacy is a fundamental human right. Scoop Vault is designed from the ground up to ensure that you, and only you, have access to your data.
1. Zero Data Collection
Scoop Vault operates on a strict zero-knowledge, offline-first architecture. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data. There are no analytics trackers, no telemetry data, and no usage statistics collected. We literally cannot see what you store in your vault.
2. No Cloud Storage or Synchronization
We do not offer cloud synchronization. Your encrypted database never leaves your physical device unless you explicitly initiate an encrypted backup export. We do not have servers that store your passwords, nor do we share data with any third-party services.
3. Local-Only Encrypted Storage
All data entered into Scoop Vault is encrypted locally on your device using military-grade AES-256 encryption. The encryption and decryption happen strictly on your device. The keys required to decrypt your data are derived from your Master Password, which is never stored anywhere in any form.
4. User-Controlled Exports
You have total control over your data. You may export your vault at any time. When you export an encrypted backup, it remains encrypted with your Master Password. If you export to a plaintext format (like PDF or Excel), it is your responsibility to secure those files.
5. Biometric Usage
If you choose to enable biometric authentication (fingerprint or face unlock), this process is handled entirely by your device's native secure operating system API. Scoop Vault simply receives a "success" or "fail" token from your OS. We do not have access to your fingerprint or facial data.
6. Data Deletion Functionality
Because all data is stored locally, deleting your data is instantaneous and absolute. You can delete individual items, entire folders, or clear your entire vault. Uninstalling the app or utilizing the "Auto Vault Wipe" feature will permanently and irreversibly destroy the encrypted database.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. However, our core philosophy of offline, local-only encrypted storage will never change.
